In 1972 the landmark report ‘The Limits to Growth ’ questioned the possibility of endless economic growth on a finite planet.A growing movement of academics and activists is now advocating for a bold solution to the existential crises of our time: degrowth. Degrowth argues for a democratisation of the economy and for collectively managing key resources like housing. This short documentary takes a look at the theory – and asks what degrowth might look like in practice.
