Members, supporters and the wider community are invited to the BSFG GENERAL MEETING on Thursday 8 October 2026 from 7.30pm at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Carrier and Church St Benalla, opposite the Coles Car Park.
The meeting will be led by Howard Bartlett and will be a great opportunity to discuss and workshop the current issue of affordable and sustainable housing. The brief and details for the meeting follow:-
New Housing Supply Chains Can Address Regional Affordability Issues
New houses in greenfield and infill locations suffer from increasing costs of trades and materials.
It is reported that employers cannot fill vacant positions due to shortages of new well-designed small homes close to jobs.
BSFG is promoting its new Action Groups
The meeting agenda to be determined on the night can include:
· Discuss terms of reference
· Nominations and volunteers for two convenors
· Q and A
· Timeline for convenors feedback
If you would like to participate in a developmental workshop for owners, renters, house designers, consultants and builders please express your interest for seating arrangements.
