'Engaging the Community' Action Group

The Engaging the Community group actively works towards a local community which is well informed about a range of issues related sustainability.

It has a particular focus on developing and promoting BSFG events associated with education and learning.

Active roles include:-
-Monitoring sustainability related 'hot topics' and developing strategies to
raise community awareness of them
- Participating in planning and implementing the Swanpool Environmental Film Festival
- Developing and maintaining the BSFG website and social media presence (Facebook, Instagram)
- Integrating media prepared for the Benalla Ensign by the committee of management into our overall media environment.

This group has evolved from the 'Connecting and Engaging the Community' - members at the time were particularly interested community skill building and developing activities and events to connect community members.
