Those members who attended the 2017 AGM last June may remember Peter Holmes informing the meeting that this will be John Lloyd's last year as President. After eight years he has decided it is time to step aside and let someone else take over that role. Naturally this has raised the question of a successor. Who will take on the role of president?
The issue of succession planning has been discussed by the committee who believe that it is important to inform BSFG members and to seek out members who may be interested/prepared/willing to take on the role of president at the AGM in June.
There are many people amongst the BSFG membership who could take on this important leadership role. While, as inaugural President, John took on a numberof roles, the committee recognises that this cannot be expected of the next president and have decided that a number of these roles need to be shared.
John will continue as Convenor of the Renewable Energy Benalla Action Group which is, and will continue to be, a very demanding role. He will also continue with the organisation of the Environmentally Sustainable Business Award.
